Gurkha Legend, robusto 5x50. Pepper at first, very nicely done, then gets woody and spicy. Never too strong, but full of flavor. A great daily smoke if obtained at a reasonable price. Nice cigar.
Paired with Oban 14 year single malt scotch.
66 degrees and cool on a calm evening.

I've never really given Gurkhas much of a try. Too many options, I guess, and the few I've sampled haven't impressed me. Are there any other Gurkhas you would recommend as highly as this one?
In a previous post you mentioned the possibility of ordering Yamazaki through the mail. I suspect Iowa's state liquor authorities would frown on such a circumvention of their mandated liquor monopoly. I guess we can produce Medal of Honor winners but still not be trusted to moderately imbibe a $90 bottle of scotch. : ) Go figure!
I've enjoyed the Gurkha Blue Steel (before I started this blog) which I would recommend, but many of the others are just so so. The Legends are by far my favorite Gurkha. I think I got a couple of bundles of these Legend Robustos from JRcigar last year for around $2.50 each. I was super stoked. Love 'em.
Sounds like you need to rent a Mail Box Etc. drop in the next state over!
